About the conference
The International School and Symposium on Synchrotron Radiation in Natural Science (ISSRNS) is a well-established series of scientific meetings organized by members of the Polish Synchrotron Radiation Society since 1992. The conference is devoted to recent advances, emerging research directions, and new experimental techniques employing synchrotron radiation and free-electron lasers in physics, chemistry, materials science, and life sciences.
Over the years, ISSRNS has become a traditional forum for the exchange of scientific ideas and experience among researchers working with synchrotron radiation and related experimental methods. The meeting provides an opportunity to discuss both fundamental aspects of synchrotron-based research and a broad range of applications in the natural sciences. An important aim of the conference is also to bring together experienced scientists, young researchers, and students, promoting scientific discussion, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge between different research communities.
The XVII ISSRNS conference will take place from 31 May to 4 June 2027 in Kielce, Poland, a city located in the heart of the beautiful Świętokrzyskie Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in Europe. The picturesque surroundings of the region, combining forested hills, unique geological formations, and a rich cultural heritage, provide an attractive setting for scientific discussions and informal meetings.
The conference will offer participants an opportunity not only to present and discuss recent scientific results, but also to establish new collaborations and strengthen existing contacts within the international synchrotron radiation community.
